Motor plates, including both front and mid-motor platess make engine installation and swapping easier and more direct, especiall with with our own TWRCP hand machined products. We machine them from 6061-T6 1/4 inch aluminum. We build our Mid-Motor plates in both 13 gauge mild steel or 6061-T6 aluminum.

Our motor mounting plates are really ideal for every kind of drag racers, door cars, roadsters, dragsters, street rods and custom cars. They make it easy to install and mount a non-stock or different make engine if that is what you need to do. Just great all around Motor Plates!

Installation:

Our motor plates are installed in a manner that is really pretty straight forward. The plates go between the water pump and the engine block and then across the engine compartment from frame rail to rail. First mount the plate on the engine; at this point you will need to do dome trimming to fit your application (a template may be necessary). Now position the engine where it is supposed to be and then install an angle bracket on both sides of the frame rails up against the motor plate. Then weld the bracket to the frame rail and drill a couple of holes through the brackets and into the motor plate. This is where you will insert bolts (with washers and nuts) through the motor plate and bracket. Tighten it all up and you are done.

Now your engine can easily be installed or removed by use of the mounting bolts. You'll need to supply your own hardware, installations vary widely.
